i followed the positive ratings in this site and tried to use this exchange.

since i do not want to send my personal details to some strange companies over the internet, especially not personal information like picture of my passport or any kind of ID i deliberately contacted the live chat before the transfer and asked if they require KYC — he replied that no. (i have the full chat log screenshotted and saved) so i initiated a transfer from BTC to WISE.

the transfer was stuck for a long time and then i contacted the chat again and then he said it was stuck for AML requirements and now requires me to provide my ID and all other sorts of information.

i showed him screenshot from the chat with him where he said they do not do KYC, he said that its not KYC its AML so its okay to ask from me ID now. i said it was misleading and if he would have answered in beginning saying that there is a possibility for KYC i would not have used the exchange since i dont want to provide strangers my information, so in this case, no problem do not finalize the exchange but refund me my money back.

they are not sending me the money back, they kept 300$ for themselves as a reward which is basically stealing it from me.
be aware that your money is not safe in their hands.

so unless you are willing to provide them your selfie, passport and all documentation about any transaction that led to you having the money you sent them, if you wont provide this info you will never see your money again
