When trying to exchange XMR for USDT, I encountered a non-transparent and extremely inefficient AML verification system. I work in IT and data centers, and all the transactions we carry out are completely legal and transparent.
The difficulties began when our employee—who is not the wallet owner—on their own initiative submitted their documents to speed up the verification process: a selfie and a photo of their passport. Later, when the system requested video confirmation, we explained that the actual owner of the funds is me, the CFO. My video was made strictly according to the instructions and sent to the verification service.
However, instead of a proper response, the AML service again demanded a video from the employee who has no relation to the wallet. As a result, the verification stalled, access to the funds was blocked, and the service’s actions caused confusion.
It feels like the system does not differentiate between the owner of the funds and third parties. This leads to a formal and pointless approach that ignores the real circumstances.
There is no client focus, support does not help resolve the issue, and the service’s actions lack logic. Ultimately — loss of time, nerves, and trust. I do not recommend using this platform.
