Once the restriction period ended, I submitted an appeal and regained access to my Wise account. Only then did I discover that the funds in my account had actually been returned to the exchange service.
I contacted the exchange immediately and informed them about the situation. I also have clear evidence showing that all of the funds were returned to them just two days after the original exchange.
Despite this, during the first week they kept passing me from one person to another, claiming that they had not received the funds. After I provided my Wise statement proving that the money had been returned, they eventually refunded two out of the three payments.
However, they still have not refunded the largest payment, claiming that they cannot confirm that they received it.
After another week of discussions, I asked them to provide a statement from their own account so I could verify whether the funds had actually been received. Every day I receive the same response: “We requested the statement,” “We are checking,” etc. But I have received no concrete information or documentation.
Their support now claims they cannot provide the statement because the account has been closed. However, it is possible to obtain a statement after an account is closed — I personally obtained a complete statement from my closed Wise account.
At this point, I have documentary evidence showing that the money was returned to the exchange, yet they still refuse to return the largest payment to me.
I strongly recommend against using this exchange service. The way they handle disputes is extremely disappointing: constant excuses, no concrete answers, and a refusal to provide documents that could actually clarify what happened.
If you use similar services, always keep your bank statements, transaction confirmations, and all correspondence. In situations like this, those documents may be the only thing that can prove what actually happened.

Dear Client,
Please note that you have previously opened a complaint regarding this matter. We kindly ask you not to create new requests regarding the same issue, but to continue the correspondence in the existing thread. This allows us to keep the full history of the case and handle your request more efficiently.
Regarding the restriction on your account, it is not related to our service. As we previously explained, the restriction was imposed as part of your bank’s internal compliance and financial monitoring procedures. Unfortunately, we have no influence over or control of these internal banking processes.
Regarding the transfers you mentioned: the bank’s request concerned only one transaction in the amount of 69, which you initially rejected, but which was subsequently credited to our account. For the other three transfers, the refunds were initiated by you independently. One of these refunds was received by our account. The other two transfers were not credited because, by that time, the relevant account details had been closed.
Due to the closure of the accounts, Wise informed you that you needed to provide alternative account details for the refund. You provided a screenshot of this communication yourself as part of the correspondence. However, based on the history of the case, it appears that alternative account details were not provided.
In addition, in March, the service attempted to contact you by email to inform you about the refund and to clarify whether you had provided Wise with alternative bank account details. You were also asked to contact us via chat or provide a Telegram contact for faster communication.
You only responded four months later. After retrieving and reviewing the archived records, the service processed the refund of the amounts that had actually been credited to our account.
We sincerely regret that you did not respond to Wise, which could have allowed them to return the funds to your new account. However, please note that in order for the remaining funds to be returned, you were required to provide alternative bank account details in response to Wise’s request.

All of my statements are fully supported by my bank statements and by the official response from Wise Support.
Unfortunately, the exchange service has provided none of this kind of evidence. At this point, they only have their own claims, without any supporting documentation.
They also told me that they would provide me with a statement from their account showing that the funds had supposedly not been returned. However, more than a week has passed, and I have received nothing.
Instead, they simply sent me two different screenshots showing two different amounts, neither of which has anything to do with this transaction, and then claimed that I was responsible for the issue.
Money cannot simply disappear. It is not water evaporating from the grass after rain. There must be a clear transaction trail showing where the funds went.
Unfortunately, Nextbit Change is refusing to provide any proper evidence or documentation and is unwilling to resolve this issue in a transparent and professional manner.
I am therefore asking once again for clear, verifiable evidence regarding the transaction and the alleged return or non-return of the funds.

Please do not misrepresent the facts related to this situation.
The statement you provided is not up to date, as it was issued before you received the notification from Wise stating that they were unable to complete the transfer because the recipient's account had been closed. In this notification, Wise also asked you to provide alternative bank details in order to process the refund.
You need to provide Wise Support with a detailed explanation of the situation. It is possible that the funds are currently held in their technical account. We recommend attaching the screenshot showing that Wise requested alternative bank details from you because the refund to the original account was not possible.
We would also like to emphasize that our service previously attempted to contact you to clarify whether you had provided Wise with new bank details and to inform you that two transfers had been received by us. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response from you for four months.
After you contacted us again, the service reviewed the archived records and processed the refund of the two amounts that had been received by us.
For our part, we have taken all necessary actions regarding the funds that were actually credited to our account. To further determine the whereabouts of the remaining funds, we recommend contacting Wise directly.
