How to exchange Ethereum (ETH) for Tether TRC-20 (USDT)

What to consider when exchanging ETH for USDT TRC-20

If the user has chosen the direction EthereumTether TRC20, it does not mean that the ETH cryptocurrency needs to be transferred to the Tron network. If selected in the Ethereum ETH column, the native cryptocurrency in the original blockchain network must be sent. In other words, the user sends ether on the Ethereum network and receives USDT on the Tron blockchain.

There are other Ethereum to USDT TRC-20 exchange options available on BestChange:

When making transactions, it is essential not to make a mistake in choosing the network; otherwise, problems may lead to losing funds. For example, if you send a wrapped WETH token instead of the original ETH cryptocurrency, the exchanger will not be able to confirm the request. In addition, the exchanger does not support this direction of exchange, so a loss of funds is possible. Anyway, in case of an error, you must solve the issue through the support service.

Keep in mind: despite using the same address format in Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, which network the user chooses is extremely important. The thing is that many exchangers verify and confirm transactions automatically. Therefore, if the user sends ETH in the BNB Smart Chain network instead of Ethereum, the exchanger will simply not be able to confirm the transfer, and the user will wait in vain for confirmation for a long time - in this case, the problem can be solved only through support.

How to exchange ETH to USDT TRC-20 using BestChange

Below is the step-by-step process of exchanging Ethereum to USDT on the Tron blockchain.

1. Selecting a destination and an exchanger

The exchange table on the BestChange website requires you to select a direction. If you need to exchange native cryptocurrency, choose Ethereum ETH → Tether TRC20.

If it is necessary to exchange a wrapped token in the Ethereum blockchain, Wrapped WETH should be selected in the left column of the exchange table, and if it is necessary to convert the ETH token to BNB Smart Chain (BSC), Ethereum BEP20 should be selected.

When the user selects a direction in the exchange table, the BestChange website will open a complete list of exchangers that support this operation. By default, the list will be sorted by exchange rate from the most to the least favorable for the user. Still, this order can be changed according to various parameters, such as the number of assets in reserves or the number of reviews.

Then, you should select one of the exchange offices on the list and go to the service's website to perform the next step.

2. Creating an application

After going to the exchanger's website, a form will be provided, which the user will have to fill out - after that, a request for ETH to USDT TRC-20 exchange will be created. In the application form provided by the exchanger, you must specify the amount to be sent or received, the wallet address (TRC-20), and the e-mail address where the transaction receipt will be accepted. You should carefully check the wallet address before sending it: in case of an error, it will be impossible to return the funds.

Some exchangers allow you to make transactions without registration and do not require an e-mail address. Others may ask for additional personal information, such as full name, phone number, and so on. Exchangers that require registration or verification of identity are marked with unique icons in the table.

Some exchangers allow users to set the network commission, eventually affecting the exchange speed.

As soon as the user sends an exchange request form, the service will accept it and send the user an ETH address for replenishment. Exchangers most often automatically accept requests from users, but sometimes, they are processed manually. After the exchanger accepts the request from the user, you can move on to the next step—the direct exchange of cryptocurrency.

3. Sending ETH to the wallet

In response to the user's request, the exchanger sends the address of the ETH wallet. To do so, the user must send cryptocurrency according to the selected network within the period billed by the service. When the user makes the ETH transfer, the exchanger must confirm the receipt of the assets from its side.

Typically, exchangers request at least 32 transaction confirmations on the Ethereum blockchain before sending USDT to the user. Remember that depending on the set fees, transactions can take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, sometimes longer. The user can check the transaction status using the hash generated in the crypto wallet after sending cryptocurrencies in Etherscan explorer.

4. Receiving USDT

When the exchanger requires the required number of blockchain confirmations, it will transfer USDT in the Tron blockchain to the user's wallet specified in the application. Following the tokens sent, the exchanger will also send a transaction hash — this identifier can be used to track the transfer status in the Tronscan blockchain browser.

Resolving possible problems

Rarely, but it can happen that the exchanger does not confirm the transfer, although the user has sent cryptocurrency, or provides a hash that cannot be used to find the transaction in the browser. If this happens, you should contact the support of the exchanger or BestChange service as soon as possible.
